The MTA held a number of meetings so that the public could make its voice heard on the MTA’s plan. Nuala was present at one as part of her ongoing work on this and made her opinion known (look for her about 55 seconds in to the story).
If you take the buses at all in our neighborhood, you’d possibly seen Nuala handing out flyers and spreading the word on how the MTA’s proposed redesign of our bus service would hurt our community. That also included a rally she organized in early January, covered here by the Jackson Heights Post.
Accessibility for the disabled is an all-too-common issue on the NYC subway system. The 82nd Street station on the 7 line is no exception. In response, Nuala started a Change.org petition calling for an elevator.
